Mission Labels is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable and professional working environment. When Mission Labels Director, Fiona Warwick was approached by a local college regarding the apprenticeship scheme, the directors felt this was an excellent opportunity to provide a start for a young professional looking for an opportunity to grow.
What Mission Labels can offer
Offering the apprenticeship place to a young professional creates the opportunity for a college or school leaver to learn about the label trade and valuable skills obtained within a growing business. The apprentice learns about all aspects of Mission Labels including accounts, printing, artworking and management of key customers, as well as gaining an insight into running a successful business within the label industry. These skills offer business exposure that cannot be taught in a classroom.
Rachel joined the Mission team in February 2012, working primarily with accounts and invoicing and has fitted into the team easily. After leaving college, Rachel was unsure about which career direction to choose, and when the local college informed her of a position at Mission Labels, she was delighted to accept.
Rachel says "Working at Mission Labels is like being part of the extended family; I have learnt so much in the past few months and am looking forward to furture challenges at Mission Labels, as there is never a quiet moment."
Mission Labels is currently in the process of looking for another apprentice for the printing and press label process. Mission Labels is committed to providing opportunities for local people within West Sussex and hopes as the company grows, more apprenticeship schemes can be offered.
